Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Aesthetics and Art History, and Esmod Japon, Tokyo. She won first prize at the 86th Soen Award for Honorable Mention and the 11th YKK Fastening Award for Excellence. After working in planning at BIGI Co., Ltd. she left the company when she had a baby, and launched HOUGA in the spring/summer 2019 season.
